Designed to accommodate up to 24 staff members, this staffroom refurbishment focused on creating a warm, inviting environment where teachers can unwind, connect and collaborate.

The communal layout encourages conversation, with seating arrangements positioned to face one another. Comfort was a priority with soft lounges, padded chairs and upholstered stools selected throughout, while dedicated lockers provide practical storage. A variety of settings cater to different needs, from relaxed coffee-height lounges and comfortable dining areas to high tables overlooking the windows for quieter, focused work. The calm, neutral colour palette complements the school’s colours and existing finishes, creating a cohesive and timeless aesthetic.

PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE

Despite its compact footprint, this principal’s office integrates all the essential functions of an executive workspace. Taking centre stage is a statement L-shaped desk that delivers the wow factor, with generous work surfaces and integrated storage. A relaxed conversation corner features coffee-height lounges for informal discussions, while a separate meeting area with a round table and upholstered chairs provides a more structured setting for collaboration. Custom cabinetry offers dedicated space to display books and personal memorabilia. Continuing the calm, neutral palette of the staffroom, the design creates a cohesive aesthetic while allowing personal touches to shine. The result is a sophisticated, multifunctional office that makes every square metre count.

Despite the distance, our design team worked closely with the school through virtual consultations, using supplied dimensions and photographs to develop thoughtful designs tailored to each space. The result is two distinct yet cohesive environments that reflect the school’s vision, demonstrating how successful collaboration can happen from anywhere.
